1. What have you found most challenging as a leader of a small or medium enterprise?
people doing what they say they will.
2. How did you become a leader of an SME? Can you please briefly tell the story?
An opportunity arise in 2015, but i have always wanted to have my own business and one day to create a Foundation for Good.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
after dog walk, work until teatime, short break for lunch (usually 6 days a week) then relax. and bed quite early reading a book.
4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?
Be organised, morale is important, have a clear vision and delegate. all rolled into one.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
Oversubscribed, by Dan Priestley. listened the 5 hours disc 48 times plus got the book. It is the foundation for my Foundation.
6. How do you build leadership capacity in an SME?
Leading from the front and delegation to people you can trust.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader of an SME so far?
Losing a key start-up 6 days before Covid hit due to Covid, but missing that has been a godsend. strange really!
