He most recently won the CMO of the Year Award in 2019 and has led marketing for the largest brands globally.
1. What have you found most challenging as a leader of a small or medium enterprise?
The lack of strategy and the ability to be agile as the business shifts.
2. How did you become a leader of an SME? Can you please briefly tell the story?
Throughout my career, I have always been an entrepreneur finding very unique ways to solve for growth. It could operate, revenue, and or overall positioning within the marketplace. This has allowed me to rise by rolling up my sleeves and getting it done.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
I always wake up fired up about life. It all starts with a positive attitude. Review my plan and then work the plan for that day and week. Midday, I review my progress. If on track, keep in marching. If I have lost pace or even a little distracted. I stop, review and get back on the day's plan. At the end of the day, I review my accomplishments to ensure success. Not every day is a win, but I strive for it!
4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?
Listen and leverage you to your team! Without your team, you are just a leader that has zero support
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?

6. How do you build leadership capacity in an SME?
Get clarity, recognize talent, make a request and not demands, identify measurable KPI's as a team and empower your team.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader of an SME so far?
If you have a plan, work on the plan, but the key is to have a plan. without one there is no purpose and the business will spiral out of control.
