It Doesn’t Matter
Updated: Nov 17, 2022
One of my favourite phrases to use is, “It doesn’t matter.”
This might sound discouraging but let me give you the context.
You know that thing you’ve been losing sleep over? That idea you haven’t pulled the trigger on because you’re still tossing up that detail?
It doesn’t matter.
I find the Pareto principle at play here because 80% of the time it doesn’t matter and you go, “... True.”
It‘s a great relief that it doesn’t matter! Learn from it; make a decision and move on.
The other 20% of the time you go, “You’re wrong, it does matter!”
If that’s the case then fair enough, give it the time and energy it deserves. But let go and keep moving regarding the other 80% and your leadership will be better for it.
