7 Questions on Leadership with Samuel Olekanma

Samuel Olekanma is an aesthetic writer with such an ornamental fashion of writing. He writes on thrilling and deep-seated subjects. His published books includes "I Have Bread, And Erectile dysfunction".

He is also currently a Correctional Officer, working at the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. DPSCS.

He currently lives in Washington DC USA.

He is born first out of five into the Nigerian family of Chief Maxwell Olekanma and Madam Lucy Olekanma.

As a child,he attended the Town School Omukwu Onicha Mbaise. He was a student of copious intelligence, and this was evident as he won the prize of Best student of the year every year through the six years of his primary education. He proceeded to the Onicha Ezinihitte Mbaise Secondary School for his Junior High school and later to Emmanuel college for his Senior High School all in Imo State,Nigeria, Afterwhich he traveled for the United States of America.

He got the heartbreaking news of the loss of his Mother in the year 1998 while on transit to The United States. In 2018, he also lost his father, a retired Correctional Officer (Warder) in Nigeria.

Samuel Olakanma is a visionary man who has a tender affection towards to entire humanity and as such,very passionate about impacting the world by contributing his quota through continuous service.

I am a Correctional officer at MARYLAND DEPT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND CORRECTIONAL SERVICES. I am a correction officer for 16 years now. My Father was a correctional officer back in Nigeria.

1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?

2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?


I was born a leader but it took me years to realize that I am a Leader. I am the FOUNDER AND SPIRITUAL LEADER OF MBAISE ASSOCIATION®. It is a community based movement that I started and focuses on the cultural and tradition of my tribe from the Eastern part of Nigeria (Mbaise)


3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?


I jump up from bed and start working on my mind. Some of the techniques are detailed in my book.


4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?

5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?


My first Published Book. "I HAVE BREAD". (Sold everywhere books are sold)


6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?


A Leader is not a quieter. As Long as you do not quite, You are a Leader


7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?


Samuel Olekanma is not just another life coach. He is a life-changer and a spiritual healer, out on a mission to help people restore their lives.


Working as a correction officer for 19 years, he has touched the lives of people from all backgrounds. He is familiar with the problems, challenges, and obstacles that you are currently facing in your life.


His vast experience of dealing with more than 1000 convicted criminals has helped him master the art of understanding human nature, uncovering the motivations behind behaviors, and examining the emotions of others.


The sea of insightful real-life stories and lessons in his heart inspires him to advise and guide others down the right path.


Here is a short summary of just a few of his achievements


● His clients have invested more than 13 billion for their growth by dealing with him.

● Over 425 clients have trusted his advice and benefited from his guidance

● He has a team with decades (187 years) of experience in this field
