1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?
I have had lots of challenges, but I would not count any as the most challenging. Like all challenges, they make us better. Solving these challenges and surmounting them have brought new perspectives and wisdom.
2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?
I have always been a leader. As a first child and son naturally the duty fell on me to take on care and management of certain affairs at home. However, because of my affinity for getting things done, I often volunteered to render certain services in the community which positioned me to lead the community youths. I have ever since continued to learn more about leadership at various levels, sectors, industries, and contexts.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
I operate on a calendar schedule. I apportion 14:4:6 - 14 hours of work, 4 hours of family time, 6 hours of sleep.
4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?
As a leader communicating the vision is not a one-time thing. It's an everyday agenda. Leaders need men who understand the vision to be executed.
