1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?
Getting the entire team on board to make progress towards on goal and achieving great results is one of the most challenging yet amazing tasks as a leader.
2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?
I have worked as an employee for last 15-20 years, learnt many skills, achieved targets and then implemented all my learnings and skills towards becoming a Business owner. Then I became an established Indian Master Channel Partner for the companies from Cyprus, Singapore, UK and UAE with specialization in Brand Development, Web Traffic growth, Implementing Strategy, Statistical Marketing Mix and Sales Strategy development for forerunners in real estate sector.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
I believe in working all 7 days of a week and taking a personal break for good couple of days. From morning onwards, I wake up, check mails, prepare a check list, visit my office, take on meetings, discuss pending & upcoming tasks, visit all my different sales office, valuate performances & reports, listen to upcoming news, some meditative music, give some personal time to my family and so on...
4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?
I had read this a few months ago and it stayed with me since then - "Leadership Is Not About The Leader" it’s about those the leader leads. It may seem counterintuitive, but to find success as a leader, the more one focuses on the development of those around them and the more one help people recognize their full potential, the more success one will have as a leader.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
START WITH WHY by Simon Sinek is one of the best leadership books for receiving a foundational understanding of what it means to lead with purpose. It explains the importance of putting purpose at the center of the business so owners and executives don’t lose focus on fulfilling the company’s mission.
6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?
Keep on learning always and if you believe you are a good Leader then make more like you.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?
Not a story but a lesson that I have learnt a lot many times, that keep faith in the ones who are under your leadership, involve them, implement their ideas too, give them your time, importance, trust & compliment them. Then be surprised again and again with great results & accomplishments.
