Hello, I'm Moe, With over four years of experience in the hospital and healthcare industry, I am a skilled multi-tasker who can handle various administrative, operational, and customer service tasks.
I have a certificate in health care administration and management from Trinidad State College, and I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in the same field from Colorado State University Global.
As an Assistant First Responder and Outreach Coordinator at SLV RETAC, I support the coordination and delivery of emergency medical and trauma services in the San Luis Valley region. I also volunteer as a Victim Advocate at the San Luis Valley Victim Response Unit, where I provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and referral services to victims of crime and trauma. My mission is to help improve the health and safety of my community by providing compassionate and professional care to those in need.

1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?

2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?
"I am a diligent worker who always strives to do my best in everything I undertake. When I landed this job, I was thrilled because I enjoy collaborating with colleagues and meeting targets. When my boss approached me to take over her position, I was overjoyed and determined to prove my capabilities beyond just completing grant applications."
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
I set my alarm for 5 AM every day. After waking up, I take a shower, get ready, take my kids to school, and head to the office. Once I'm at work, I follow up with everyone who emailed me over the weekend or the night before. Of course, I can't forget my morning coffee. When it's time to leave work, I go home and make dinner with my wife while also getting our kids ready for school the next day. After dinner, we clean up the house and then prepare for bed.
4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?
Communication with clients and employees.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
The 48 laws of power.
6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?
Stay motivated.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?
Work hard, get the job done, be helpful be friendly and clean as you go.
