1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?
The inability for other ministers of the gospel to stand in support of one's vision & ministry, without turning to competition mode. Once we master and harness how to work together and complement each other as the body of Christ, then our work will be made easier.
2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?
I was called into shepherding the Lord's flock at a very tender age in 2004 when I was but still a novice pertaining the Kingdom of Father and God. I recall during that time I began by leading a home cell meeting which grew in numbers because of the grace of God working upon my life and I was also appointed to be an assistant choir master. Eventually from there I grew and developed as a leader till I trained and was ordained as Pastor.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
My days start with the Holy Spirit where I listen attentively to his instruction during prayer sessions, I even make confessions of sins and ask for an infilling of the Holy Ghost so that I go by my day with His guidance. I guess I can call them, 'mornings with the Holy Spirit' and there I get messages which I write down in my blog "pastorkelvininspirations.business.blog" where I share daily inspirations and on other social media platforms namely, WhatsApp and Facebook as the Spirit gives me revelation. I then make follow ups as well on people the Lord would have revealed to me and pray whilst of course playing a worship song which I would her heard playing whilst in my sleep, and from then start working.
4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?
I have recently been reminded of- Obedience to the Call of God and consistency in ministry, through my fellow Apostles in ministry. I was reminded this through prayer meetings we have been having and the importance of safeguarding the souls that we are entrusted & assigned to shepherd by not compromising the truth of the WORD of God for fruitless gain of wealth or money or large crowds.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
Prevailing Prayers by Pastor Sindiso Joaqium has been a book that has had a profound impact on my leadership as it has given me tools from the Word of God to sharpen my prayer life and help me lead a more prayer-filled life.
6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?
Stay humble and run your course, for to each one of us according to Ephesians 4:7, is given grace in proportion to the measure of Christ's gift upon our individual lives.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?
One meaningful story that comes to mind from my time as a leader is that even my parents saw and acknowledged the Call and gift of God upon my life and this acceptance gave me grace to be able to minister to them the mysteries of the things of God and also have my parents reach out to me from time to time for prayer support and spiritual guidance.
