1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?
One of the most challenging aspects for me was maintaining client retention and starting from scratch. This meant not only delivering top-notch services but also fostering sustainable growth, which added complexity to the task.
2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?
I became proficient in digital marketing by leveraging my expertise, particularly in SEO, an area I've long been immersed in. Over the years, I’ve gained a deep understanding of how search engine optimization works, allowing me to apply strategies that enhance online visibility and drive meaningful results. My experience in SEO has enabled me to navigate the complexities of the digital world, always staying ahead of trends and adapting to new algorithms. As I continue to refine my skills, I’ve helped businesses improve their online presence and achieve growth in competitive markets.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
I structure my days systematically, starting with a prayer in the morning to connect with God. I always start and end the day with a prayer. For the most part, I do my job strategizing and overseeing marketing campaigns, inbound and outbound marketing, content marketing, and digital marketing.
I always want to start the day determined and productive. Then I continue the rest of my work for the day at night, if there are any, following the timezone of most of our clients outside the country with different time zones.
4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?
I’m still and will forever be a learner. The most recent significant lesson I’ve learned is the importance of self-awareness. I recently realized that this trait grants me the opportunity to interact with others frankly and confidently, especially my clients and employees. With self-awareness, I can pinpoint my strengths and weaknesses as a leader and be better at it when interacting with others.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
One of the best books I’ve read that helped me improve my leadership is The Bible. The book taught me that if you do anything with determination and dedication, you can achieve your goals in life, and even be proud of it in a quiet manner. Romans 12:2 even states that you shouldn’t have to conform to the world, but you can be renewed by the transformation of the minds. I also believe that you should make God your first priority. Matthew 6:33 says “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
This is where we can find success
6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?
Embrace humility and listen. Great leaders learn from others, value diverse perspectives, and empower their teams. Humility fosters growth, builds trust, and encourages collaboration. By listening attentively, you gain wisdom and insights. Combine empathy with decisive action, leading with humility to inspire and create a positive impact.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?
One meaningful story that comes to mind is when I witnessed the transformation of a struggling client. Through effective communication within our team, collaboration, and support, we created an environment of trust and empowerment. Together, we overcame obstacles, achieved remarkable success, and grew as individuals. It was a testament to the power of teamwork and collective effort.
