1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?

Balancing innovation with operational stability in the tech industry, especially in a fast-growing sector like FoodTech. Navigating the complexities of leading a diverse, international team while aligning technological advancements with business goals has been a significant challenge.

2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?

My journey into leadership was organic, rooted in my early experiences as a sports team captain. This natural inclination to lead was further nurtured through my passion for technology and problem-solving. My ascent to a leadership role was more about embodying the qualities of a leader in every role, rather than pursuing a title.

3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?

My day starts with family time, followed by a review of my schedule and key priorities. The workday is a mix of strategic planning, team meetings, and hands-on involvement in projects. Evenings are reserved for family, personal development, and occasionally reflecting on work challenges.

4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?

The importance of adaptability and resilience, especially in the face of unexpected challenges. The recent global changes have reinforced the need to remain flexible and open to new approaches in leadership and business.

5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?

"Leaders Eat Last" by Simon Sinek profoundly influenced my leadership style. It emphasized the importance of creating a culture of trust and safety, resonating with my belief in leading by example and understanding the needs of my team.

6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?

Embrace the role of a servant leader. True leadership is about empowering others, understanding their needs, and leading by example, not just authority.

7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?

Leading the expansion of Matilda FoodTech in Europe. This required not only technical expertise but also cultural sensitivity, strategic vision, and the ability to inspire and unite a diverse team towards a common goal. The success of this expansion was a testament to the power of collaborative leadership and vision.
