1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?
Communication across culture; unless one understand audience historical and cultural perspective and culture, it becomes more challenging.
2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?
By being proactive and leading by example, I gained trust amongst people around me.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
Planning and being “ahead of the game”, and methodically working through management processes for results oriented approach.
4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?
Do not judge the book by its cover!
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
“Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, a book by Robert kiyosaki and Sharon Lecther. It advocates the importance of financial literacy , independence and building wealth by investing in assets, real states and starting and owning business.
6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?
Be your own, learn from good examples and take action that leads to your own dreams. Learning is a continuous process, even from mistakes; Build success by failing.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?
Kept challenging myself, never comfortable with current status. This continuous challenge opened doors for a scholarship award to University to the USA.
