1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?

Make cultural changes to align the team members to a new work methodology.

2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?

Leadership was a natural evolution on my career. My behaviour since I was kid was a kind of leader. In my profession after 3 years started as engineer I became a leader of a group of technicians a engineers.

3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?

I have a method that I applied since long time ago. All my activities of the day, including morning shower, clothes changes, gym, breakfast, teeth brushing and so are including in my agenda. Usually I revise my appointments on day in advance and use to check the next coming days to see if there is nothing special in the front that need my preparation.

By doing that, I can include some free time in my agenda to attend interruptions from the subordinates or unexpected surprises, that are usual, without affecting the priorities. I have a very organized time control of my day so at the evening is time to relax, read a book, watch TV and goo sleep most of the time on the same time, every day.

4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?

To be responsible for what happen in your company, keep the most important thing on the target, always, motivate your team to do the same.

5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?

The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement (Goldrat and FOx) and Monday Morning Leadership (Cottrell). Both books changed the way that I face situations and make me think about my own behaviour in several situations.

6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?

Dedicate your time to the priorities, including your company targets, your health and family.
