1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?
At EVES ENERGY, I'm exploring innovative avenues by collaborating with Professor William Chen, the Director of the Food Science Technology Programme at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore². Together, we're working on developing a revolutionary technology for bulk microalgae oil production². The potential of this technology is immense, as it could revolutionize traditional oil production methods while addressing critical sustainability challenges within the food industry². However, it's important to acknowledge that the production process involves the use of pyruvic acid and ultraviolet (UV) light to stimulate photosynthesis in the algae², which might pose technical challenges. Additionally, our ambitious growth plans at EVES ENERGY involve establishing 400,000 tanks in Indonesia within a two-year span², which may present logistical and operational challenges.
At Finamatrix, I'm dedicated to integrating AI-driven asset classes with Blockchain³. The company strives to provide exciting hedging or arbitrage opportunities on top of DeFi and Web3 integration³. Nevertheless, it's crucial to recognize the challenges inherent in the rapidly evolving nature of blockchain technology and the regulatory landscape.
These challenges are inherent in the realm of technology and innovation, and addressing them is an integral part of the process of bringing groundbreaking ideas to fruition.

3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
I tirelessly address challenges as a key figure in the technology and finance domains. Most probably, my days are brimming with diverse responsibilities that revolve around overseeing my enterprises, including strategic planning, team gatherings, and project supervision.
4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?
As the CEO of both Finamatrix and EVES ENERGY, the significance of continuous learning resonates deeply with me. It's not merely a principle I believe in; it's a guiding force that I actively integrate into every facet of my leadership journey.
Within the walls of Finamatrix, we take great pride in being acknowledged as a SkillsFuture-approved training organization in collaboration with the People's Association. This recognition not only underscores our dedication to nurturing a culture of perpetual learning but also emphasizes our responsibility to create avenues for others to explore and expand their capabilities.
In my view, leadership transcends mere decision-making; it involves an unwavering commitment to identifying gaps in policies and strategic decisions. It's an understanding that improvement is a constant pursuit and that success often lies in the meticulous details that others might overlook. This persistent pursuit, I believe, forms a critical component in the recipe for effective leadership.
However, I recognize that this journey is far from solitary. It's a collaborative endeavor, made possible by the diligence and dedication of every member of our team. I am sincerely grateful for their unwavering support, and I am dedicated to fostering an environment where each individual feels valued and empowered to contribute their very best.
In conclusion, while the role of a CEO comes with its share of challenges, it is the ongoing learning and the unrelenting pursuit of excellence that continually inspire and propel me forward. I am humbled by the privilege to lead and am genuinely enthusiastic about the future prospects for both Finamatrix and EVES ENERGY.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
I have discovered "The Art of Thinking Clearly" by Rolf Dobelli to be a profound exploration of human psychology and reasoning. This book stands as a crucial resource for individuals, including myself, who are dedicated to steering clear of cognitive errors and enhancing decision-making in various aspects of life.
Comprising 100 concise chapters, the book delves into the most common judgment errors and imparts valuable insights on how to avoid them. It acts as a guide, aiding readers in identifying and circumventing cognitive biases that often lead to irrational decisions and beliefs.
I appreciate how the book covers a wide range of scenarios, such as investing time in pursuits that prove regrettable in hindsight, overpaying in auctions, or persisting in detrimental behaviors. These examples of cognitive biases are skillfully highlighted in the book, providing readers with the tools to recognize and avoid them.
By comprehending these biases and honing the ability to spot them, I believe individuals can make improved decisions, whether they are dealing with personal challenges, engaging in business negotiations, managing finances, or navigating life's choices.
"The Art of Thinking Clearly" is acclaimed for its simplicity, clarity, and the unexpected insights it offers into human thought processes and decision-making. I see this book as a transformative tool that can be applied to decision-making in professional, personal, and everyday life.
6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?
Adopt the spirit of continuous learning and innovation. Show steadfast dedication. I encourage budding leaders to foster inquisitiveness, embrace open-mindedness, and bravely push the limits of what is possible.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?
In my attempt to dazzle the audience at a climate conference, I decided to spice things up a bit and talk about the Earth's "virgin state." You know, like the planet is waiting for that special someone to take it out for a cosmic date. Well, turns out, my attempt at humor caused quite the stir. The term "virgin" sparked a heated debate about whether our dear planet is blushing or rolling its eyes. Some folks thought it was a stroke of genius, while others were raising eyebrows faster than the Earth rotates. Despite the uproar, I stuck to my leadership guns: we need a collective, immediate response to give Mother Earth the spa day she deserves.
