1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?
Leadership I always say to people is a lifestyle that needs continuous practice before attaining perfection and this perfection in question cannot be 💯
One major fraction faced by leaders or intending leaders is the ability to sort their followers based on their Understanding, exposure, and capacity . You can't relate with everyone same way , you need to understand this phenomenal to be able to dish out properly .
Also major mistakes that has grown globally which is a major topic is the dynamisms of human. Human nature is so unique that one cannot be accurate but we can only strieve to do our best . As a leader the constant focus should be how to improve oneself and those that are within us, putting at the back of ones mind, you cannot satisfy everyone . Having this Understanding in itself would serve as a roadmap to delivering our mandate effectively
2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?
For me , it is just by God's grace because every position I attained today , I sincerely don't qualify for it . But putting my through together now, I can say my first leadership roal started from my very young age , I was a very energetic & curious person who always wants to get involved and see It to the very end so with this trait it was very easy for me to embark on some roles
But in the real context the role that lead to my leadership skills development ,I can say started when I took up a role as a volunteer for a non governmental Organization. This led me to meet lots of persons and also deepen my understanding about how to relate with people in diverse ways
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
My very first task onces I wake up is to attend to all my online messages ( WhatsApp, Facebook, linkdeln ) . After offsetting this , I take my bath and prepare solely for office .
In the office depending on project at hand determines either i station in the office or move around to other subsequent meetings which are outside the office space. Most times based on the nature of my HUMANITARIAN work, I get to travel alot , so to me there is no static schedule for my day
4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?
In the course of journey, one thing I have come to realize and keep reminding myself is as a leader always strive to GROWTH, keep moving to grow , never stop at any point so not to loose relevance
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
Spirit of leadership, it is from there I learnt leadership is a lifestyle and as a leader you can't give what you don't have , meaning you need constant work and improvement on yourself
6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?
To embark on the journey of leader, you must be wiling to volunteer , sacrifice yourself and time for the good and benefit of others and also for your own personal growth
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?
Well as it seems right now , am still very much active in the leadership role and still influencing and impacting my world. But having a deeper thought, I could re collect one particular experience which have formed me and re shaped my thinking on the necessity as a leader for you to create a bonding relationship with your followers
