1. As a leader, how do you build trust with employees, customers and other stakeholders?

Sincerity, Integrity, Honesty is the Foundation for building trust. Giving them pleasant experiences, Excellence in Service are other key factors. For employees, sharing vision and creating Powerful Context for Long term engagement - that is beyond monetary benefits is essential.

2. What do 'VISION' and 'MISSION' mean to you? And what does it actually look like to use them in real-world business?

Vision and mission Statements is not just to be reproduced in Brochures or framed at the entrance of your office as most of the organizations, more so in India Do. Vision and mission is product of your Systematic Business Value analysis. It is then coming from Within and not framed or drafted by your Content writer or Consultant.

3. How can a leader empower the people they're leading?

A leader today has challenge to keep his team engaged - Leadership today need not be from the top - It can be a process of inclusiveness. Leaders today has to have complete Business Value Perspective of his team he is leading . If Leaders have Business Value Perspective , Leading becomes easy the flow of communications and the keywords is spontaneous.

4. Who are some of the coaches or mentors in your life who have had a positive influence on your leadership? Can you please tell a meaningful story about one of them?

Most important is my Father, then Followed by my Spiritual Guru and My Mentors from Landmark Education. The story with all of them is too long However I can tell you one with my Spiritual Guru. About 3/4 years back I was in a Marriage Ceremony of my family relative. The ceremony was Going on - my spiritual Guru was also there for some unknown reason The host shouted at me using in appropriate language. The entire atmosphere got disturbed. My Wife got upset .

She started shouting at me and left. After 3/4 hours , my guru called me asking me what happened. I was also going to him asking his help in resolving the situation. I told him complete scenario. He knew it and asked why he shouted at you? He called my wife. He told her - there is not Fault with your Husband - I am surprised why the host shouted? Your Husband is highly intellectual person.

I do not think there is anything wrong with him : After this he spoke His golden Sentence that has impacted me powerfully and Built My Confidence and That is - " What others shout at you - or speak about you shows their level and Not your Level ' - So don't bother and do not get disturbed. This was one of the greatest acknowledgement I received in my life & that too none other than by My spiritual Guru. Many of us corporate leaders get disturbed by comments . This was a powerful lesson for me .

5. Leadership is often more about what you DON'T do. How do you maintain focus in your role?

The focus on the role is achieved by 3C - Communication -Consistency - Commitment . All this has to align with your Business value Pillars and drivers that you are aware of after analysis. Your Vision and mission is derived from within. When this is so, Focus is automatic.

6. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Everyone plans differently. How do you plan for the week, month and years ahead in your role?

We perform Planning with Business Value Planning. Business value Planning involves the integration of all areas of your Business. Conventionally Planning begins with sales forecast and then backwards planning with Productions, Operations, Finance etc. We do it with Business Value Planning.

7. What advice would you give to a young leader who is struggling to delegate effectively?

This is very interesting and relevant Question. Young Leaders need to begin their career with Team and teamwork at early stages. Learn to delegate small steps first. Be present to communication, your words that you use. First is have your Business value analysis done. Create a powerful Purpose and then align this with your team. Volunteer in social organization that you are passionate about.
