1. What have you found most challenging as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise?

Staffing - finding the right staff that you can have confidence in technical abilities and are good people to work with. We spend to much time in the office to work with dickheads

2. How did you become a CEO or executive of a large enterprise? Can you please briefly tell the story?

Started in chartered accounting in big 4 firms in Australia and Europe. Returned to Australia for a better quality of life. Got sick of being overworked and underappreciated in chartered world and moved to industry and a controller and then a CFO

3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?

Tasks vary depending on what is required. Generally work through from most important and due first to the nice to completes

4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?

Get everything in writing as recollections vary

5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?

Nelson Mandela. The struggle to follow your beliefs and to keep to your principles. Stay true to who you are rather than flexing for the situation as you will always revert back to your natural position

6. How do you build leadership capacity in a large enterprise?

Recruiting well, having faith in their abilities and showing people the potential they have

7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise so far?

Always achieve deadlines and manage your time. If you continuing achieve deadlines no matter how busy, people will respect you and value the efforts you put in and hopefully mirror you
