7 Questions with Haitham Ahmed

.

1. What have you found most challenging as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise?

Hiring the talented stuff: It is so difficult to hire smart, skilled, and talented employees. You take time and huge effort when you read the resumes and make interviews to select the best candidates for the required job.

Leading the team of your company to achieve the common goal and the desired target. You need to know how you can build rapport with your team and how you can establish a strong communication channel with them. How you can motivate them to do their tasks on time. Many employees such as sales employees lose their motivation because of lack of sales. I meet with them and try to find why they don’t succeed? How they can do much better next time.

2. How did you become a CEO or executive of a large enterprise? Can you please briefly tell the story?

I formed my academy (London Academy Of Online Education) in 2018. I worked so hard to choose the location of my academy, build the website and hire the best instructors in different subjects and now I prepare my academy for a new launch next month. I agreed with new instructors and engineers to launch new courses in Cinema 4 D, Graphic, Build your website, and others.

In 2020, I formed my Magazine (Life And Success Magazine) in London, UK. It will show success stories for Actors, Football Players, Singers, and others. I have a plan for my academy and my magazine to increase their students and clients.

3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?

I usually wake up in the morning and divide my day into four parts as follow:
1-I do my work and tasks in my company.
2-I check my social media pages and enjoy some entertainment programs.
3-Do exercise, walking and practice some sports
4-Think about the future and what I need to do to improve my business in the future. I try to have new ideas and write them in the mini notebook.

4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?

Building trust with your employees.

5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?

The secret of leadership by Prakash Iyer.

6. How do you build leadership capacity in a large enterprise?

I build my leadership capacity by being clear and brave in my decision when I take some risks in some cases or situations. Clarity builds trust with your team. You have to tell them why you made this decision.
In addition, you must bear responsibility for the outcome of this decision.

7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise so far?

Managing people isn’t easy. You must know how you can deal with different people from different cultures and how you guide them to achieve the common goal of our corporation.

A few months ago, I asked two instructors to do one online course about acting. I gave them the materials and sources such as books and some links. They had a long argument without doing the required course. They had many different points and one of them told me he can’t do this course. I had a meeting with each one and then got common points between them. After that, I made a meeting with both at the same time. I guided them to agree about how they will do this course. Now, I published the course. Furthermore, the acting course got good feedback from many students.
