Aaron Kelly, owner, and CEO of AK Entertainment hosts a conglomerate of talented creative voices. He thought of the brilliant idea of AK Entertainment in Los Angeles after being on the set of FOX TV Production named Rosewood starring Morris Chestnut and Jaina Lee Ortiz. Nicknamed AK because of the multiple people named Aaron on set is what inspired AK Entertainments existence.
AK Entertainment has made irresistible stories resonating in the crowds before and during the pandemic. The projects have been official selections, finalists, semifinalist and honorable mentions in multiple film festivals. Winning awards for artistry achievement, screenwriting, acting, directing and cinematography.
Aaron earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Art Institution of Atlanta in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production. He worked in production offices, studios, and on-set locations while in film school. He has served as a production intern for the Georgia Public Broadcasting and as Associate Producer for Courthouse Pictures and DaphRO Productions. He has also freelanced as a Set Production Assistant on many films in both Atlanta and Los Angeles. He can easily generate creative insight into a story concept and move it into development and pre-production to production and into a marketable story on screen.
As the country reopens and vaccinations flow, we are passionate about creating entertainment professionals and interns jobs.

1. What have you found most challenging as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise?
Not having a strong foundation and team or not having financing for our company is what I found most challenging as a CEO of a large enterprise.
2. How did you become a CEO or executive of a large enterprise? Can you please briefly tell the story?
Creating my own opportunity is how I become CEO of a large enterprise. I thought of the brilliant idea of AK Entertainment here in Los Angeles, CA, after being on the set of a FOX TV Production named Rosewood starring Morris Chestnut and Jania Lee Ortiz. The production crew nicknamed me AK because there were multiple Production Assistants named Aaron on set. The nickname inspired AK Entertainment's existence. Since the company's formation, fresh creative voices joined in and made irresistible stories resonating in the crowds before and during the pandemic. These creative voices projects were official selections, finalists, semifinalists, and honorable mentions in multiple national and international film festivals. In addition, winning awards for artistry achievement, screenwriting, acting, directing, and cinematography.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
Meditating, healthy diet, exercise, reading marketing reports, generating leads for our company, generating revolving financing, and many other admin tasks are how I structure my workdays from waking up to going to sleep.
4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?
Trusting the fresh creative voices here at AK Entertainment, reframing from anxieties of failure and disappointment when our creative voices feel they are not enough. Instead, I give them warm, friendly reminders of their strengths and how they impact crowds worldwide. I discovered that old fashioned warm, genuine praise increased the creative voices' productivity. This is the most recent significant leadership lesson I've learned.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
"Become Your Own Boss In 12 Months " by Melinda F. Emerson and "Producer to Producer" by Maureen A. Ryan are actually two books that have profoundly impacted my leadership so far.
Both books explain years of development and how to obtain financing through crowdsourcing and social media techniques that help build AK Entertainment's contact list. That is how both books impacted my leadership.
6. How do you build leadership capacity in a large enterprise?
Remembering AK Entertainment company values inclusion, humility, teamwork, integrity is how we build leadership capacity in a large enterprise.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise so far?
My best friend Katherine Bynum took time out of her night to assist me with my promotional video for AK Entertainment's online crowdfunding campaign. The editor recommended I go back and reshoot the footage; however it meant a lot to me that someone was willing to assist me and not asking for something in return. This is the most meaningful story that comes to mind from my time as a CEO of a large enterprise so far.
