Mr. Ali Asif is married & have two sons & a daughter. He is serving the sales & marketing field of Pakistan medical Industries from two & half decades. He has worked very closely with Asian & European organizations to translate global strategies into local strategical & tactical plans.

1. What have you found most challenging as a leader?

Most challenging part is the most exciting part of leadership i.e People handling in challenging times & under stress environments. Enabling them to visualize a successful path & help shifting their paradigm to a winning team player.

2. How did you become a leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?

In modern times - person with the most solutions/way outs is accepted as a leader. People look for solutions to their problems, The one who support them with ideas is considered as a LEADER. Now the question is how this level (A problem solver) can be achieved.
1- With Experience.
2- Book readings.
3- Out of the box thinking skills
4- Analytical approach.

These attributes helped me to help out people around me as a problem solver : A leader approach...

3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?

Good health is a precursor of a good & productive working day, so apart from rituals exercise is a part of daily routine.
Healthy diets enables mental presence.
Office hours is the most exciting time of the day.
Planned / scheduled meetings.
Strategic meetings & operation plans.
Data Analysis for business evaluations & accelerations.
Afternoon hours are used for emails.
Evening times are mostly rotate around follow ups.
Post evenings is family time & dinner get together with family.

4. What's a recent leadership lesson you've learned for the first time or been reminded of?

Post covid times - global challenges are getting uniformed; inflation across globe is a real challenge. Cost of living has gone higher & higher with each passing day. It's a real test of leadership to keep teams intact & focused. As a team we have been growing in sales & achieving profitability milestones. Achievement of short & long-term goals is only possible with the greatest leadership lesson learnt i.e. Stress management.

5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?

1- Who move my cheese is the most influencing book which changed my paradigm. There is always another way out of achieving goals / dreams & success.
2- The coach - an Australian cricket team coach narrated the success mantra how he worked closely for skills development of senior team members rather new team members. A concept which transformed a team of champions to a champion team.

6. If you could only give one piece of advice to a young leader, what would you say to them?

1- Keep learning, grooming & developing yourself. There is always an opportunity.

7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader, so far?

There are several stories building up around us daily, which we can observe & learn, that how people are changing their lives & lives of others. Take some time out to observe people around, we will find a lot of great situational leaders around us. In office, families & friends. In such stressful times people are doing a great work, not only to survive but influencing others. Just observe closely. You will be explored with great potential stories...
